Up to date info on our cross / February 11, 2011
Work on our cross has been completed and it looks spectacular at night with it's new LED lights. We are still accepting orders for personalized bricks / tiles. Thank you to all those who have ordered so far. Your donations have helped so much towards the costs of materials and labor and future orders will help towards continued maintenance and installation of bricks and tiles.
On February 26th at 6:00 PM, we will have a relighting ceremony. Please join us!
Help us with our Village Church tower and cross. To off -set the costs for the work and materials, we would like to give you an opportunity to donate a brick or tile laser engraved with your family name or the name of a loved one or special person which will leave an impression that will last a lifetime. The bricks and tiles will surround the base of the tower. You may want to also include the words “in memory of, or “in honor of” inscribed in your brick.
The Village Church, located in the Brentwood Glen on Church Lane, was built in 1946 and has ever since been a gem in our community. Several years ago, the cross went dark due to neglect and the elements. The church tower cross, visible from the 405 freeway, is seen literally by millions of people annually. What a great feeling of pride you will experience, every time you drive by, that you contributed to its repair and relighting!
Those who order a brick or tile will receive a special commemorative certificate along with a 100% tax deductible receipt from the church.
Any questions, please call The Village Church at (310) 472-7510.
